All of the public schools in the state of Texas have Spring Break this same week. Rumor has it that a law was passed some time ago mandating the timing for the same week (although I can't find proof of this anywhere--has anyone else heard this?)
In any case, we are not traveling for Spring Break. For one reason, we are saving up for our big vacation in June. But another thing is that I don't like visiting places during peak times, and when the entire state of Texas is out of school for break at the same time things can be crazy crowded!
So we are having our own Spring Break Staycation here at our house. But we're doing it on a dime. So to speak. I've given myself a budget of $50 to spend from now until next Friday night. That must include all entertainment and food outside of our house for the next week.
So what's in store for tonight?
We rented Brother Bear from the library. Cost? Free. See, I'm already under budget!
I've got some plans for the rest of the week, loose plans so that we can be flexible with the weather.

No but I have a vacation coming up in April and I am fighting the urge to go away. I really want to make over my bedroom, perhaps that is what I will do instead.
